My mentality in mixing this song was always “less is more.” I tried to keep to the fundamentals by firstly leveling all the tracks, creating space where frequencies clashed, panning to create horizontal space, and focusing on the essential plugins. I.e. Compression, EQ, and Reverb. After the basics I was able to hit more of the details like pan automating the toms and and automating the volume where necessary.
